It isn't history for us fans. Heck, it happened one day ago. The team may need put it behind them... but I am not. I have a busy week ahead... and every chance I get to sit back and think about how well our Cajun Softball Team and the Lotief's did this past weekend... I'm going to do it. And if someone is going to write on here how it wasn't a butt whooping... I'm going to correct them.
Quit counting your leftovers. You are too good for that. You lost and it WAS a beat down. When you are the host and #1 seed, and your coach was the former coach at the champion's program, and you buy 200 student tickets and plead for support, and you play the #4 to start, and we beat down the #3, and you put up a goose egg against us... the school you regularly limit in every possible means... it was a BEAT DOWN. I talked to the NCAA and they were thinking of giving LSU a negative score for the record books, considering the extenuating circumstances, but they have to leave it as a ZERO. They said that you cannot do any worse than a ZERO. You scored not a run. No one passed over the plate at your park. No one could score against UL. Not a single person on your team could move a runner home. Nothing. ZERO. Beat Down. Bang, bang, bang. Beat down. I loved the poet justice of it all. The Lotief's tell our ladies to keep it to a single run. "Don't rub it in. Just pace yourselves and get one more run than them." It is still a beat down. It is simply a classy beat down. "No need in embarrassing them in front of their purchased fans". "Their fans will not get on RaginPagin and claim it was not a beat down." We do not need the 10 runs we could have scored. "Let's go out and win by one run, shake hands, and get on that plane to The City of Angels."
Oh, and while you bring Saban into it. How lame would it be to lose to Alabama and get on their message board and write "you only beat us by one score and we gained more yardage". They will laugh til their guts ball up and blast through their redneck potbellies.
I may somewhat agree that we didn't dominate LSU, however listening to the LSU players comments after the game, its the same old same old from LSU. They never give their opponents any credit, it was just that "we lost it, they didn't beat us". I'm tired of their arrogance. I have friends still blaming the bowl loss to Penn State on the torn up field. If I remember right, PSU played on the same turf.
Just congratulate the other team sometimes and give credit where it's due.
