I stumbled across this site while looking up the name change Senate Bill and it appears someone has way too much time on their hands. Please excuse the post if this has already been covered on RP. I visit daily and do not remember any mention of it.

This genius posts that McNeese is Tier 3 above UL. Well dude, maybe try to understand how the rankings are done first. McNeese is a Masters University-Regional. They are Tier 3 in that class, meaning they are between 25-50 percentile of that classification.

UL is listed as Tier 4 but we are in the National Universities classification. We fall in the bottom 25% of that class, but it is still the top class. One part of the ranking, though definitely not the defining quality, is endowment. UL is over $100MM, McNeese is at $12.5MM, Tech at $53MM, Tulane at $1.0B, LSU at $460MM, Loyola at $302MM, Xavier at $89MM just to name a few.

Only Tulane, LSU, Tech, UL and UNO are National Universities

Its similar to comparing FBS to FCS in football.
