Really wish he would play another position. I don't think he can make it as a qb in the NFL, however, I do believe that he can play in the NFL as a WR or S. Would love for him to prove me wrong though!
Spoke with Mike earlier today. He wanted to go after this chance. Calgary owned his rights, so it was the only CFL team with which he could talk. He made the move more for next year than this one.

I sort of like CFL football. They have some quirky rules, like the three downs you mentioned. They have others like, if I am correct, having to field a punt, and the backfield can be in motion prior to the snap. Also, the size of the field is different, they award rouge point, etc.
Takes a little getting accustomed to, which I did when stationed in N Dak, and had opportunities to view Winnipeg games in person.

Mike would have had even better career numbers if he hadn't been required to regroup his game with a new coaching staff the very year (2007) he took over the helm.
