I was referring to the Free agent fans part. I respectfully disagree with his comment. But no sense in arguing, he is entitled to his own opinion and thoughts of things.

Very much so, no kidding here. Joe Horn is way past prime and is a non factor on the field. To put it into perspective, a 7th Rd rookie took over his role as the team's #1 receiver.

Considering Joe's 5.5 mil the Saints would have had to pay to keep him....no thanks.

Stokely is a very underrated WR who played behind 2 #1 WRs with the Colts. No Cajun goggles here, but aside from his recent injuries(which I admit is a liability to signing him) he would be an excellent fit for the Saints and YES he would fit better than Joe Horn....assuming both are healthy.

hey, i'm ok with signing stokley as a 3rd WR ****AND**** if we pay him 3rd WR money! with that said, we still need a number two WR. henderson is a third....or turd, however you deem his worth!

Brandon and Joe are not really comparable WRs. They bring different assets to a team (when/if they are both healthy). Brandon is more suited to a specific system/QB. Brees and Stokley would click. Brees has to be accurate and methodical, and Stokley helps a QB like that. He is more like Jake in that he sees the route and would have a lot confidence in Brandon (a healthy Brandon) being there and making the catch.

I hate to pit Joe up against Brandon. I would like to see Brandon working with Jake or with the Saints. Either way, it would be fun. Hopefully, he is truly on the mend and not just an injury waiting to happen.

That's exactly how I feel...Stokley will make a great addition to the Saints if he's capable of being injury free...Like Mr. Just1more stated...very sure handed and methodical...Stokley will be exactly were Bree's expects him to be...However, I just don't see him as somone who can be depended upon to be a #1 or #2...I see him as a 3rd option. I'm not sold on Henderson...way to many dropped passes...not very elusive...struggles to find the open spot when the defense sits back in a prevent. I'm not really sold on the other guy (don't even remember his name???) despite having such an exceptional, break out season...During the playoffs...to me, it seemed like he struggled to find the soft spot in the defense at times,(also I'm sooooo afraid of the ominous sophomore jinks!)...sure it will get better as he matures, but I think we still need a savvy vetern at this point! Maybe I'm under estimating Stokley...maybe he can be that savvy veteran! Whatever the case may be...I think the Saints will be in trouble if they don't find one!

BUt Manning wanted him after he already had Harrison, not sure if Wayne was there yet though. Manning never wanted him as his #1. He just knew that harrison and wayne would always be tied up and needed another set of good hands. If Stokley was Joe Horn good, then he wouldn't have been the third option on that team.

Fellahs, just remember, he was cut from the Colts after he failed a physical. You can take that for what its worth, but if he couldn't perform well enough for a team to keep him, then its gonna be a harder test for him to perform well enough for a team to sign him.

I have NO idea what his physical condition is right now, but if he signs with a team, it will probably be for very little money, with a small signing bonus (or clauses in which his inability to perform would result in repayment/nonpayment of bonuses), or a league-minimum type number, with lots of incentives, AND would probably only be for two years at the most, or on a year-year basis with team/player options. And this would ONLY be due to his recent history. He would have to weigh these options, and then determine if the reduced contract is worth the potential of reinjuring something, attaining a new injury, and then going through all the rehab again, and the extra troubles he'll have when he's older.

Colston is the guy you're thinking of. I too was not very impressed when he came back from his injury. He played differently like he was either always trying to NOT get hurt, or concentrating on the pain instead of the game. There was something not right with him after he returned. Usually in the NFL, it takes around three years for a reciever to break out. Many of the better recievers out there (Harrison, Ocho Cinco, T.O., etc.) didn't make a name for themselves right away. Torry holt was a little different, only because he got thrown into that high octane crap they were doing in STL Colston had the advantage of his size, he looks to be a pretty big guy for a reciever and is quick. Therefore, while he had a tough end of the season, i wouldn't say his honeymoon is quite over. he will need to make some serious improvements from what he did at the end of this season, going into next season, and show it wasn't a fluke, and then he can truly work on getting better.

Henderson sucks. He can run the go route, that's it. Then its a crap-shoot whether or not he catches it. If hired, and If healthy, Stokley would probably get the #3 spot and be that possesion type reciever. they seriously need someone else to come in and take over at #2 though. Did Eric Moulds sign anywhere yet? I am curious how much he wants. Could be a lot though, since the Texans are trying to create cap room and they cut him to do so.

Unless Stokely is really messed up he sounds like a Peyton guy. Peyton seems to have a gift of taking the unwanted and making them into stars. I would love to see Stokley taking the place of Horn.
