Imagine the fury in Ruston had you gone to play in Pittsburgh...

Updating previous reports, John Clayton of ESPN.com reports the Indianapolis Colts have reached a contract agreement in principle with free agent WR Brandon Stokley (Ravens). Stokley agreed to a two-year, $2.9 million deal that will be signed later in the week.
South Louisiana PublishingLAFAYETTE — Brandon Stokley wanted to see if other teams were interested.
What he found exceeded his expectations, and on Friday the former Comeaux High and University of Louisiana star will leave the Baltimore Ravens and sign a two-year contract with the Indianapolis Colts.
The deal, worth an estimated $2.9 million, will unite Stokley with Pro Bowl quarterback Peyton Manning in an offense that ranks among the finest in the National Football League.
“That was a big factor, just how good he is,” said Stokley, who has worked with Manning’s summer quarterback camp and is friends with the New Orleans product.
“The Colts have an explosive offense and a proven quarterback. And when you add in all the weapons he has around him, guys like Marvin (Harrison) and Edgerrin (James), it just makes it that much better.”
What makes the deal more remarkable is the fact that Stokley is currently on crutches after foot surgery during the 2002 season and is unable to work out for interested teams.
