Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon stated that agents with the Acadia Parish Narcotics Strike Force reported the following recent arrests:

Following a complaint from residences, agents arrested Brittany Richard, 20, Cory Labat, 20 and Matthew Hanks, 24, all of Crowley. The three were charged with possession of oxycodone, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $27,000 each.

Matthew J. McBride, 29, Church Point arrested and charged with possession of cocaine. Bond set at $20,000.

Keith Chapman, 26, Crowley, arrested and charged with distribution of crack cocaine. Bond set at $10,000.

Dwuan Drawsand, 31, Crowley, arrested and charged with distribution of crack cocaine. Bond set at $30,000.

Timothy Venable Jr., 31, Church Point, arrested and charged with possession of adderal.

David Riball, 55, Crowley, arrested and charged with distribution of cocaine. Bond set at $30,000.

Demitris Hirsch, 41, Crowley, arrested and charged with distribution of crack cocaine. Bond set at $10,000.

Following several complaints, agents conducted a search warrant of the residence of Ronald James Beverly. Mr. Beverly was charged with possession of Promethazine, simple possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a weapon in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance and illegal use of U.S. currency.

The following were charged with simple possession of marijuana.
