I hope we win conference outright and Western manages the 7 seed instead of the 8 seed. I don't wanna face chuck norris in the first round of the tournament...

Unfortunately for the Sun Belt, Ridings left the game with an injury last night (5th inning). The severity is unknown at this point.

Is it just me, or is the Sun Belt really solid this year?
I don't remember a recent instance where the #8 seed had such a decent conference record..

The Sun Belt is much deeper this season. Deeper than I can ever recall. In fact, the #9 is decent. But the Belt does not have some of the elite teams (at the top) it has had in the past. It is packed much tighter.

The Sun Belt Tournament is wide open this season.

A couple things in relation to the Cajuns potential seeding.

    1) 2 wins and the Cajuns will be no worse than #2 seed.
    2) 1 win with one more loss by FIU and MT and the Cajuns will be the #2 seed
    3) 3 wins and 1 more FAU loss and the Cajuns would be the #1 seed.
    4) 2 wins and 1 more FAU loss and the Cajuns would be co-champions, but have the #2 seed.
    5) The Cajuns could mathematically fall to #5 with a sweep at the hands of Monroe and 2 wins by USA, MT, and 1 win by FIU, but they cannot finish lower than 5th.

In the Sun Belt preseason Coaches poll, the Cajuns were selected to finish 5th. Looks like the team will finish higher than the coaches predicted! Good job to the Coach Robe and his staff and the team for finishing higher than the other coaches predicted!

Ridings told the local WKU beat reporter that there was no popping sound in his right elbow, but that it felt unlike any pain he has ever had. He was unable to throw more than a few pitches in the pen afterward.

WKU coach Chris Finwood (one of the nicest guys in the business) is hopeful that it's nothing more than some elbow inflammation. Hope to have an update later today.
