  1. UL Football Coach: Tyke Tolbert

....Meanwhile, Cowher is working diligently to replace fired wide receivers coach Kenny Jackson. Tyke Tolbert, 36, visited with Cowher and other team officials yesterday. Tolbert coached wide receivers for the Arizona Cardinals last season, helping rookie Anquan Boldin earn NFL offensive rookie of the year honors with 101 receptions for 1,377 yards and eight touchdowns.

Tolbert also worked for University of Florida coach Ron Zook, a former Steelers assistant, in 2002 and was on the staff at Louisiana when Steelers cornerback Ike Taylor was there.

Tolbert is the second known candidate for the job, following Larry Kirksey, formerly of the Jacksonville Jaguars and several NFL teams and colleges. Cowher spoke to Kirksey on Tuesday.

    Bills hire Tolbert

The Buffalo Bills have hired Tyke Tolbert as their new receivers coach. He comes to Buffalo after spending last season coaching the same position with the Arizona Cardinals. Among his charges was NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Anquan Boldin, who caught 101 passes for 1,377 yards and eight touchdowns in 2003.
Prior to joining Arizona last year, Tolbert coached for nine seasons at the college level - Louisiana-Monroe (1994-97), Auburn (1998), Louisiana-Lafayette (1999-01) and Florida (2002). The native of Conroe, Texas was a three-year letter winner as a receiver at LSU (1988-90).

He becomes the ninth member of new head coach Mike Mularkey's staff.

The Bills also are expected to add Brad Roll to their strength and conditioning staff, joining Rusty Jones. Roll has been assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Miami Dolphins.
