Ville Platte’s own Cameron, housed in Industrial Park in Evangeline Parish, has been honored with the Lantern Award of Louisiana.


The company was nominated by Dr. Tojo Ward, a member of the Evangeline Parish Industrial Board and council member on the Acadiana Area Development Council.


Ward said this was a perfect opportunity to recognize Cameron's efforts in this community, parish and state. "It's a great reflection on the company," he said. "It's a boost for economic growth in our parish."


Ward said this honor was long overdue for the company.
