BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Gov. Bobby Jindal has started making
money from his recent book deal.
On his 2009 personal financial disclosure report, Jindal
reported income of between $50,000 and $99,999 last year from the
contract with Regnery Publishing to write his memoir - tentatively
titled "On Solid Ground."
A Jindal spokesman says the book is on track for a July 12
release, but he wouldn't give the details of Jindal's publishing
contract or how much the governor stands to make on the book.
The governor's disclosure information was posted Wednesday on
the Louisiana Board of Ethics website. The disclosure reports do
not require the reporting of specific income amounts unless the
money comes from the state, political subdivisions and-or gambling
interests.
