On May 17, 2010, Investigators with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office were contacted by Homicide Investigators with the Houston Police Department concerning a fugitive, Jeremy Martin Potier, 21, of BreauxBridge, wanted for Capital Murder. The warrant was in reference to a double homicide that occurred in March of 2009 where the bodies of two subjects were found by Houston authorities in an abandoned car. The year-long investigation culminated in authorities learning that Potier was in St. Martin Parish. On the afternoon of May 17, 2010, Potier was taken into custody by St. Martin Parish Investigators without incident. Potier is presently being held in the St MartinParishCorrectionalCenter awaiting extradition to Texas.
