MAMOU - The Mamou Police Department, along with the Pine Prairie Police Department and the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office, was involved a high-speed pursuit Thursday morning, May 13, in which a man on a motorcycle led authorities from Highway 13 in Mamou to the Woodworth exit on I-49.
Michael Lee Alfred, 32, 118 Green St., Crowley, was charged with reckless operation, general speed law, switched plates, disobeying a stop sign and no motorcycle endorsement when authorities finally caught up with him.
