Cajuns have been joined by 6 of their opponents with automatic bids to the NCAA tournament. Massachusetts double dipped Fordham today to win the Atlantic 10. #5 seed Syracuse shocked #1 seed DePaul and home-standing #3 seed Louisville to take the Big East bid. Radford defended their #1 seed and took the Big South Championship. McNeese also had to overcome a higher-seeded home team twice (#2 seed Texas State) to take the Southland title. Washington & Michigan received bids as the regular season champs of the PAC 10 & Big 10. Georgia Tech in the ACC & the winner of Texas vs. Missouri (tonight) in the Big 12 will have a chance to grab their automatic bids tomorrow.

On the FIU note, don't give up on them yet. There are not very many teams with at-large credentials stepping up in their conference tournaments to pass the Panthers up. They have a shot.

FIU sure didn't hold up to their sweep of All-Conference honors. Makes the All-Conference selection committee look silly, IMO.
