Are the two incidents, which transpired in the last 48 hours in Evangeline Parish related? At press time, authorities had no information suggesting they were related.
On Tuesday, May 11, law enforcement officials located a female body near the Belaire Cove community. Authorities also executed a search warrant later that evening at two residences on Martin Luther King Street, which led to other home searches and eventually the arrest of one person wanted in Houston, Texas, for the capital crime of murder.
