CROWLEY- Following a procession of police cars through the City of Crowley Tuesday evening, a memorial service was held in honor of those officers who have fallen and those who continue to serve citizens across the country. Each year, the event is hosted by Betty Newman Perry of Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.), an organization that provides resources to assist in the rebuilding of the lives of surviving families of Law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty.
This year in conjunction with National Police Week, the First Presbyterian Church of Crowley provided the setting for a local service.
