KROTZ SPRING, La. (AP) - A Krotz Springs firefighter who was
fatally shot had filed for a temporary restraining order in late
March seeking to stop his ex-wife from moving his children out of
state.
The new husband of Michael Hall's ex-wife, Jason Rolls, is
accused of manslaughter in Hall's death. Rolls is an Air Force
staff sergeant based in New Jersey.
Police have accused Rolls of shooting Hall in the chest after
Hall went to the couple's home Friday, just hours after they were
married. Hall had three children with his former wife, Twaila Hall.
The Advocate reports that Hall had been involved in custody and
divorce proceedings until April 26 when the divorce was granted.
Court records show Hall was given visitation with his children and
a judge said all relocation issues should be decided by the court.
