I am a avid UL fan and also a LSU fan. Ask all athletes at UL if they dislike LSU athletes and I would be willing to say that less than 10% of them dislike LSU. When people talk about LSU, most of the time they are talking about people on the LSU boards such as this one, when I talk about LSU I'm talking about the kids that play the sports. They are a state school just like Tulane, McNeese St., Nichols St., and all the others. I have always been taught to pull for the state schools when they are not playing your favorite school. I know athletes at all three schools I mentioned above and they also are LSU fans. The good thing about this whole hate LSU hate UL thing is that it's only a very small percentage of people that feel that way on both sides. Cajunfan11 and Turbine are both correct the top billing should be LSU when the athletes have accomplished what they did, however during regular seasons the top billings should go to the local school always. Of course this will be rectified next year when we win 9 games and go to the New Orleans Bowl.

I couldent had said it any better. Like Ive said, I have reasons to dislike the actions of LSU's administration, and some of the LSU fans, but the acctual athletes have done nothing to me, or my university, which gives me absolutly no right to dislike them.

I find your lack of hate disturbing.

There were at least 100,000 fans from Lafayette in New Orleans. Quit trying to compete with LSU, losers!

Why? why? why you insist? even when you win, you lose.

So you think fully 1/3 of the fans who went to New Orleans (350,000 estimate) were from Lafayette huh? Please 12,000 tops from ALL of Acadiana

See!!! That's what I was talking about in my earlier post. There's one of the ignorant LSU fans. Oh gotta go, got something in my eye, or should we put something in his eye.

To be fair, it was nearly more people who travelled from Lafayette to New Orleans without tickets than to Cajun Field for the home games.

The best thing for all UL fans to do is to stop comparing themselves to LSU (FOR NOW). UL is not at the level of LSU (RIGHT NOW), and much work must be done before they can be competitive. I swear most of the people on this board are more caught up in comparing themselve to LSU than discussing the Cajuns.
