What do youthink of helmets with stripes?

geauxboy is right, Miami has no claim to the word University. I can't say how much I like this helmet. I know I don't post much so I probably don't have any credibility, but I have to say the helmet in the picture has a real presence about it, I like it a lot.

I love it without the stripe but Louisiana on the front is real cool. This is the best logo for Louisiana. When can we order caps and shirts, love it.

Thanks Turbine for a photo of the current helmet. I think it is important for people to see what is currently being used for a comparison.

The one thing I do like about the new helmet is the LOUISIANA on front and the strip ending with Ragin Cajuns on back. Can these items be incorporated in to the current helmet?

i think the helmet change would look great if they used the big U and NOT PUT THE STATE IN THE MIDDLE

a single stripe is ok i guess. double stripes suck. outlining stuff with silver or black sucks. the logo is the bomb. i really like it.

I think they look great. I'd like the stripe to stay the same width across the helmet ending at the "Louisian", but might like to see it handled like the Rajin Cajuns is handled in back of the helmet.

I would like to say that the helmet looks great. I don't really care for the helmets they have now!

One thing that I believe that would make it look better would be a white face mask and not outline the stripe in black. But I know face mask cost and it would be cheaper just to change the sticker. Also if the stripe in the front would come down more, but I like the way it tappers down.

It has an old time classic look of toughness.
Is this something that will happen are is it wishful thinking?

Already done back in the late 1980's-early '90's(I believe). If you look in the avatars section of this website, I believe Turbine still has a picture of that helmet in there.

I guess that I don't explain myself properly, I was still talking about the new helmet. The small ragin' cajun on the back. Not just Cajuns on the side of the helmet. I like the Big U with Louisiana inside it, but with "Cajuns" on the back.

Whenever I talk to people about the school's athletic teams I always use the term "The Cajuns" I never use the term "The Ragin' Cajuns".
