CINCINNATI — They faced a hostile environment 11 days ago, and came within a couple of minutes of upsetting a nationally-ranked Dayton team in front of 12,055 supportive fans.
The University of Louisiana's Ragin’ Cajun basketball squad will face a similar task this afternoon when the 3-2 Cajuns take on Xavier’s Musketeers in the Cintas Center.
Today’s 1 p.m. (CST) game was listed as a sellout in the 10,250-seat center, but Xavier officials announced Wednesday that 300 unclaimed student section tickets had become available for public sale.
Those $19 tickets were gone by noon Thursday.
“That’s the kind of environment you want to play in,” said Cajun senior swingman Laurie Bridges. “That makes it fun.”
