Townsel Highlights
Shoots like former cajun Casey Green.
Nice highlight. What other offers does he have. Any word on qualified?

On pace to qualify. Also being recruited by Louisiana Tech, Tulane, Chattanooga, Troy, Morehead State, Auburn and ULM.
Casey Green?? It was scary when he was hot and the same when he was cold. He could miss the rim twice and hit the next 5 threes NBN style!
Been told Louisiana Tech pulled offer after signing PG Kenyon McNeaill from Arkansas. (A former Nebraska commitment.)

Josh-
do you believe Tech pulled because they got something "better" or because they did not think they would have a chance with Nikita Johnson working for the Cajuns??
Also, how do u believe Townsel fits in?

La Tech has already signed McNeaill. Not sure what Tech staff was thinking. Just know Townsel no longer has offer there because that slot is filled. McNeaill is a three-star recruit and had offers from Nebraska, UAB and Rice.
Townsel is a combo guard with strong dribbling skills, a nice outside shot and an ability to get in the lane and create for his teammates.
He can play at an up-tempo pace. Would be a nice fit for what Marlin wants to do offensively.

On film he looks like Daigle type player.

Not sure about that, granted that's just my opinion.
Townsel certainly can shoot it, but he appears to be better off the dribble. He can penetrate and finish as well as find open teammates in the flow of the offense.
Daigle can create space to get off his shot but is neither a polisher ball-handler nor distributor.

Good skills no doubt but when a player is listed at 6 feet tall they are usually 5'10" or less. If he is to be a true pt guard then his size is fine, but if he is being brought over as a shooting guard, no thanks. Daigle plays well as a shooter but must create separation just to get off a shot and is often to out of control to be a true point.
JP,
I agree with your assessment. When is he visiting? I think it will be important to sign two freshman this year.
