Members of the Legislative Committee of the Acadia Parish Police Jury on Tuesday, May 4, recommended the passage of an ordinance requiring parish prisoners to reimburse medical expenses not covered by Medicare or other insurance.

Jurors also recommended strengthening the parish occupational license and animal control ordinances.

Jurors are expected to vote on all three issues next Tuesday.
