Lafayette High Schools' Daniel Comeaux is one of two in the state and 141 in the nation to win the Presidents Scholar Award.
Comeaux received a perfect score on the SAT in math and reading.
That qualified him to be nominated after filling out a lengthy application with six essays Comeaux was selected out of 500 semifinalist.

In addition to Comeaux, Lafayette High School teacher Dwayne Edwards will receive a distinguished tacher Award.

Comeaux's trip to the White House is paid for by the program. He'll get to spend three days there and meet the president on one of them.
