WASHINGTON (AP) - Three more congressional committees have
announced they will hold hearings on the Gulf oil spill, adding to
an already crowded calendar of oil hearings.
On Wednesday afternoon, the House Natural Resources Committee
announced two days of oversight hearings on May 26-27.
Earlier Wednesday, the Senate Environment and Public Works
Committee and the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee
both said they would hold hearings. The Senate panel will meet next
Tuesday and the House committee will hear the issue May 19.
At least three other committees announced earlier they would
hold hearings on the spill as well.
