It may have taken four years, and a change of schools, but Shelby Derbonne finally got to play on Saturday at the Fast Pitch 56 softball tournament in Sulphur.

The former all-state outfielder at Alexandria Senior High moved to Baton Rouge for her senior season and found a home at Parkview Baptist Academy, which finished as the Class 3A runner-up for the third year in a row.
