The Abbeville Police Department is searching for a group of people who stole eight cars from an Abbeville car dealership this past week.
According to Abbeville Police Chief Rick Coleman, the group of thieves jumped over a fence that was behind the dealership. Once in, the thieves located cars that had keys in them. The thieves drove off in the cars. They also drove through the locked fence.
Coleman said six of the eight cars were located in New Iberia.
No one has yet to be arrested, but the police department has a person of interest as a suspect.
