ECHL Mourns Loss Of Former Player Spoltore
PRINCETON, N.J. – The ECHL and its member teams mourn the loss and express their condolences to the family and friends of former ECHL player John Spoltore, who passed away on Friday after a battle with brain cancer.
Spoltore played six seasons with Louisiana from 1995-2001, scoring 532 points (142g-390a) in 341 regular season games, and 101 points (32g-69a) in 70 Riley and Kelly Cup Playoff Games. During the 1999-00 season, Spoltore tallied 92 assists, the second most in a single season in ECHL history.
A funeral service will be held in Waterloo, Ontario later this week.
