On 04/27/10 the Lafayette Metro Narcotics Task Force concluded an investigation which started on March 5, 2010. During this investigation Metro agents attempted to arrest Felton Mouton III after it was believed that he was in possession of a large amount of Cocaine. Felton Mouton was able to flee the area before agents could arrest him which resulted in Metro agents obtaining a warrant for his arrest.

On April 23, 2010 The Lafayette Metro Narcotics Task Force with the assistance of the U.S. Marshall’s Task Force located and arrested Felton Mouton III on an outstanding warrant for distributing of cocaine and aggravated flight from an officer.

On April 27, 2010 a search warrant was executed at the residence of Felton Mouton which is located in the 300 Blk of Bopamo Lane Duson, La. During the search agents located approximately 1.1 lbs of cocaine in the residence. The cocaine has a street value of approximately $50,900.00.

Felton Mouton, who was still in the parish jail at the time of the search, was charged with possession with the intent to distribute cocaine.
