A fire has been burning since mid-morning at Maddie's
Truck Stop in Simmesport, LA. It has caused the closure of a section of Highway One and the evacuation of near by businesses.
An area of Highway 1183 to Live Oak Drive is where the fire is burning. Traffic is being detoured to the levee road until further notice.

There has been no injuries reported at this time.
