Miami has that U shape on their helmets.
I'm not calling you a goofball or nothing but Miami does not have "THAT" U shape on their helmets. Besides no "U"niversity has the rights to "U"Originally Posted by Etowncajun
The only thing remotely close is the U. And if we used the opening that Turbine did originally with the rotating figures it would be a unique and memorable icon.Originally Posted by 1stTake

I also think that the U would be seen as copying Miami, as would the state logo be seen as copying Tech.
Interlocking UL is the best choice.
We must have a logo that is worthy of THE UNIVERSITY OF LOUISIANA and not be seen as copying another school.
It must be seen and recognized as distinctly and soley ours.
And the interlocking UL is a copy of an almost dead Louisville logo. So it's wash.Originally Posted by HOTBOUDIN
In my opinion what is best is what can say "University of Louisiana" no questions asked.
Ditto, Turbine, University of Louisiana!!!!!!!!!!!

I say we put a jersey on yum yum and make him our mascot. He all ready makes the fans cheer, lets make him official. He could taunt opposing teams, "yum yum, come get you sum" , and "hey hey, cotton candy" they will instantly be distracted by the delicious allure of cotton candy and it would subsequently effect their play on the field.

Louisville uses a cardinal head on their helmets and just a script L on their ball caps.

If you dislike the interlocking UL so much, I suggest you mention that to Tony so he can remove it from the ball caps and the jerseys.
Don't blame it on coach Robichaux he is just working with what the school gave him.Originally Posted by HOTBOUDIN
I don't know if you notice where I said the logo is "almost" dead. The band still uses it, as well as the items you mentioned.
