A Tornado Watch has expired. Very few storms have developed along the front this morning and the severe weather threat has ended. Skies are clearing and most of Acadiana will see sunshine this afternoon.
A widespread tornado outbreak is expected across areas of northern Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia. Also most of Tennessee, Kentucky, and the Ohio River Valley can expect rough weather this afternoon. The storm prediction center has issued a rare "Particularly Dangerous Situation" statement for those areas, and it could be the largest severe weather outbreak so far this year.
