6-3.......
Cajuns look to be finding their stride and getting hot at the right time!
Yep, real nice winning streak. I just hope the way they're leaving so many runners on base and missing opportunities to break the game open doesn't come back to bite them down the line.
Thats one of the only things thats irked me, that and their late game pitch calling is still pretty bad.
Kelly Cormier has really turned it on at the plate and thats been a big lift; all of their slappers are on fire and doing an excellent job of getting on base. The big bats though are still a bit inconsistent and more often then not right now we're seeing a lot of the slapping crew left stranded. If the Cajuns can work through that, they will be a very tough team to beat in the conference tournament.
I agree on the inconsistent hitting. But I've always wondered about the batting order. I've never understood why the slappers are all bunched together consecutively in the order. It makes more sense to me to have them mixed in with the other hitters. It takes several hits in a row from the slap hitters to score a run, since they rarely get more than a single.
Cajuns up 3-0 in game 2, Troy's pitcher is really struggling and early on this game has the looks of one that could get very ugly for the Trojans.
What happened to the broadcast? It was supposed to be on Cox 37 according to the UL website.
No clue, I was watching it online from the webcast but the feed is now having an error
edit: webcast is back... apparently we didnt miss anything... still 3-0 going into top of the 3rd.
Is the feed back? I'm trying to listen on the radio, but Steve P. is driving me crazy, never stops talking.
Yea the webcast is back. I'd rather Steve because this guy from Troy sounds like he needs some anti-depressants...
Erikka Murphy made a fantastic diving catch and Bowers had a very sharp throw to catch a runner trying to steal second to end the 3rd.
Nice clutch hit by Myers, seems like we're getting a lot of runners thrown out though.
