Thousands are expected to attend Festival International this weekend in Lafayette, but there are many other festivities around Acadiana.
Folks craving Cajun cuisine can head out to the Etouffee Festival in Arnaudville. The event runs through Sunday. Along with tons of hot bands, there will also be arts and crafts, a carnival and of course plenty of food.
Speaking of food, things get "Grilling in the Park" this Saturday. The Shepard Food Pantry will host this fundraiser at New Iberia City Park from 9am-2pm.
The beat goes on in Opelousas. Music and Market gets underway from 5:30pm- 8:30pm Friday. Jo-Jo Reed & The Happy Hill Band will be on stage at Farmer's Market Pavilion.
The longest running live country music show in South Louisiana hits Jennings at Freddie Pate's Jamboree. The live variety music show begins at 7pm Saturday.
