I have an old city map from the 40's. I'll see what I can find but I think the map ended basically where the Pinhook and the tracks intersect. For those that don't remember, Pinhook ended at the tracks and curved west onto Oak St.(currently Jefferson).

Do you remember Su Su's Barber Shop on Johnston? Not very far from your house(across downtown).

I know I am too young to know for sure, but hearing my uncle and grandparents talk about it, I seem to remember that Surrey park is pretty much where the Municipal Golf course and Clarke Field are today. I also think I saw pictures of it in a picture book of Lafayette that mentioned that it was in the same area as well. I am also pretty sure that Parkerson Grove is the subdivision that includes Orange, Magnolia, Sterling, and St. Charles area (between Jefferson Street and Louisiana Avenue). Hopefully, this helps.
