The STM Cougars are one of the top contenders in the upcoming high school baseball playoffs. The Cougars season took flight with the insertion of Sophomore Connor Toups. Over the last week, Toups hit three home runs with five RBI. He also pitched a complete game against Sulphur giving up one run with six strikeouts. His performance make him the TV 3 player of the Week. Prior to his high school career at STM, Toups was a participant in the Little League World Series with the team from Lafayette.
