Marlin lands three commitments
The rest of the story
I just had a STRONG feeling that Coach Marlin and his staff could out-recruit Middle Tenn and get Perez to come play in the Cajun Dome.
Any word on the PG that played for USC Community College?
Spoke with him Tuesday. Has a visit this weekend to Kennesaw State. Will make his decision sometime next week.

Perez wants to play baseball for UL, but I looked up his statistics and he's only batting .257 at Centenary.
I hear Marlin does not have much to say about most of our current players. Since Johnson is bringing in all of his former recruits our kids can't seem to measure up anymore. Amazing those are the same kids that beat his team last year, didn't they? I can't wait to see how this all shakes out. I had heard that Malin likes to bring in JUCO and transfers and it appears that is the case. Are there any freshmen being recruited? Right now I believe that Dyson is not going to be playing next year. He needs reconstructive surgery on his ankle. With that said there is one more scholorship out there. We seem to have recruited plenty of guards are we going for a big man or the point guard. Either way it is looking shaky for our freshmen to be playing in this new scheme.
I was referring to our two freshman from this year. Andrews and Mitchell. So next year we will have 6 seniors, 4 juniors (5 if Riley signs) and 2 sophomores right now
DID YOU NOTICE THE STATEMENT FROM PEREZ THAT HE COULD REDSHIRT????`````Think I noticed that---I think that the Freshmen on the team will be fine ---the tall one needs the weight program that our kids in bball don't seem to participated in during the off season---btw is it me our do I just imagine our being pushed around a lot under the basket?????
Coach Marlin has clearly stated that he prefers to recruit high school players. However, there are times within a program and ours falls into that category, that there will be abnormal amounts of attrition at one time and you have to be able to fill those gaps with JUCO's who can contribute immediately. You will not see nearly as many JUCO guys signed in the upcoming years.
yeah maybe it has something to do with when lee got rid of an entire basketball team in one year,

Perez, Brown and Farrington all told The Daily Advertiser today that they have signed and will be Cajuns next season.
Look for the school to release signing info in the near future after getting all of the proper paperwork.
