Dohmann faced 4 batters yesterday against Arizona. Gave up 1 hit, but got 3 strikeouts! ....More importantly he lowered his ERA by more than 2.5 runs to 16.43.

He came in to pitch in the 10th and 11th innings and only gave up 1 hit and 1 walk.
His ERA is now down to 12.60(a dramatic increase from 32.40 at one point earlier this season)
This was also the 1st win of his MLB career!!![]()

DOHMANN REVAMPED: It remains the same Scott Dohmann inside the No. 47 jersey who began the season with the Rockies. The numbers, though, say otherwise.
Expected to be a fixture in the bullpen after a solid 2004, Dohmann struggled early, allowing 14 earned runs in 6 2/3 innings before getting sent to Colorado Springs.
Dohmann was recalled Aug. 2 and has proved to be a different pitcher. In six appearances, the right-hander has allowed one earned run, five hits and three walks with seven strikeouts in eight innings.
"I think in the beginning, I was trying to be too fine," Dohmann said. "I was thinking more and more about my mechanics than pitching. Now, I think I'm focusing more on pitch sequences and setting up the hitters better. Before, I was just thinking about personal mechanics and it wasn't working out."
Scott Dohmann who was recalled from from Triple-A Colorado Springs last weekend and already has his first win of the year is on ESPN 1420.
It is a replay of SAND LOT nattional radio program from last Sunday.
Danny Ardoin is on with him. Colorado Rocky pitcher-catcher combo.

Francis (5-5) allowed four hits and two runs over 6 2/3 innings while Scott Dohmann, Jose Mesa and Brian Fuentes finished the five-hitter. Fuentes threw the final inning for his 14th save, but not before giving up a homer to Jose Guillen.
Scott Dohmann worked the ninth inning to preserve the Colorado win
Very nice web sites.
Quick comeback: Reliever Scott Dohmann made a quick comeback after giving up his first two homers of the year on Friday night.
On Saturday night, he pitched a perfect eighth and struck out two.
"In '04, when I broke in, and during my rookie year (2005), I think you had a legitimate concern," he said, referring to his ability to overcome a tough outing. "But I've been out there enough times and had my ups and downs as a reliever. You're going to have a bad night or a good night -- there's no in-between, especially the later in the ballgame you get."
Hurdle said he likes to go back to relievers quickly after they have a bad performance.
"It helps their confidence level," he said.
This just in:
The Colorado Rockies have acquired left-hander Jeremy Affeldt and right-hander Denny Bautista from the Kansas City Royals for infielder Ryan Shealy and right-hander Scott Dohmann.
