Thread: McNeese @ UL

I'm guessing kentucky isn't very good this year. Anyway, i heard some ppl behind me at the tigue talking about the demons - tigers game. I had no idea. Also, this team couldn't get out of that 8th inning jam a month ago. Huge pitches from Joey there. Maybe this team has grown up before our eyes?

No, Kentucky has a decent team. Their RPI rank (25 entering tonight) is good enough for at-large consideration. Their problem is a 5-10 conference record. They are battling it out with Alabama (RPI rank 17) and Mississippi State (RPI rank 42), both also 5-10, for the 8th and final spot in the SEC Tournament.

Western Kentucky has tagged Kentucky twice this season.

yes that was a helluva play when he went to his right, backhanding the ball as he was sliding, got up and threw a strike to the pitcher covering first.

What was the deal with the batter hit in the 9th? The ump called it a foul. I was there two rows behind home plate he didnt call time, he said foul. The batter kept walking showed his bobo to the ump and just kinda stayed at first base. WTF?? Does this ump have no stones whatsoever? You made a call buddie stick with it. If you listen to everyone argue you would never end the damn game. This shows how bad the umps we get saddled with are. What a pud. The home plate ump had a strike zone bout 4 foot wide and short as all hell. Belt was too high for this guy. At least he was consistent. First base ump was too busy cleaning his nails on a check swing to give an answer. What a way to run a railroad. On a brighter note, cowgirls lose, cowgirls lose!!

Its worse when we lose. But I had an enjoyable time at the game tonight. The parents of Riche #9 on Mcneese's team were in front of us, guy was chuckling all night as we watched the wide strikes get called and in the 9th when his precious boy got it against him he was so mad. I just said hey buddy at least he was consistent. Nice guy but his choice of college sucks. I also asked him if his son is majoring in fertilizer. I was lucky not to get punched but hey this is good ole fashioned home grown hatred. Its healthy.
