I didnt want to get into another food discussion because last time was the "Wings" incident and people took stuff way too seriously.

But, I had to add that I DESPISE Alesi's. That's not a personal insult to anyone on here or anyone that may own the place. Its only my opinion on the place. :/

To date, my only negative reputation score on RP.com is from a wing comment.

Religion, politics, and wings are off limits! :-)

See but you have childhood memories of it. All I know is more recent because I never went often when I was younger. To me its a little overpriced and the pizza is ok. I think they charge you per refill and you have a pretty small cup to drink from.

If you like it, I'm not telling you to stop going, but this is a public forum and hopefully we can discuss restaurants without stooping to neg repping posters for disliking something

Blasphemy!! I live in Houston and my kids only bring up wishing there was an Alesi's here about 3X a month.

LOL, that was my first as well. I got another from running some yoyo that was a fan of another team I think.

Anyway, when it comes to pizza, there are plenty of really good choices in the area. Deanos, Pizza Village and its clone JJ's (apparently if you're from Breaux Bridge, its a requirement to love the Village), BJ's, La Pizzeria. Stiff competition for ole Alesi

Buried in the sands of time. Too bad though. Was nothing like bringing someone to a "steak restaurant" located in a run down warehouse building where your choices were steak or steak and one of the finest wine list in the world. Who would have thought you could go in a place like that and order a 5K bottle of wine? Not that I ever did.

Good, I went there a few years ago, and the portion was very small for the price. We looked around and noticed the average age of customers was like 75, and figured that is why the portions were smaller. Looking forward to a revitalized Don's downtown.

Just downtown you have Don's, Agave, Tsunami, Bonzai, Guamas, Pamploma Tapas, Filling Station, Bonnie Bells (was T-Coons ), and Dwyers. Legends isn't really a restaurant, but the Annex serves some really good burgers, and wraps. So it is a very lively epicurean scene downtown alone, much less the rest of the city.
