Thread: PAC 12 Expansion

  1. Default Re: PAC 12 Expansion

I'm sick of "know your place" attitude that started with LSU trying to hold USL down to where now some fans think nothing can help. It has infected Martin Hall and the AD office. Be happy don't worry. From Cajun Vic telling us to give up to JAB saying money won't help, to Somissia coming here after every loss and spitting on the ski team. I'm sick og the condescension. And Cajun4ever is right basketball would be the easiest to fix.

That benefit isn't just sitting on an excel sheet ledger in the cloud. It would presumably extend across the board.

Better finances, better exposure, better hiring, better nutrition, better recruiting. Better overall program.

All leading to being competitive in their new environment.

Unless someone disagrees with that, I don't know how many more comments you would expect in that regard.
I literally tried to connect your post about money to athletic success, and you accused me of "moving the shell" because you "aren't that smart." Quit acting like I'm misrepresenting you. We can all read that you explicitly avoided a connection between money and athletic success, saying that money alone was a "benefit." But now you want to act like you tried to connect them all along.

    MONEY!!!!!

Do you know why Texas State moved? It was not about prestige; it was about money and chance for advancement later. Moving to the PAC immediately makes a financial impact to them because of TV revenue sharing. The short-term sucks for Texas State but the long-term investment hopefully pays off in their eyes, we shall see. Moving to the B12 would mean an immediate influx of capital. which in turn would help the sports recruit and retain better talent.

    NUFF SAID!!!

I didn't think the benefits of a $45 million dollar influx needed an explanation

Cajun4life said joining a power conference would automatically make the basketball team very successful. This is delusional.

And worst of all, Esqueleto proved my point, openly admitting that he would be okay with losing every single game and/or finishing dead last in the conference as long as he got to be included with all of the big name schools. That's just an absurd thing to say about your university's athletic programs.
Ask any fan of an SEC team if they would drop down to the SBC if it meant that they would win every game, and see what they say.

Most (maybe all?) SEC teams are extremely competitive in at least one sport. And ask Turbine if I am CajunVic.
