UL baseball's chances might be better than you think

UL's series win over nationally ranked Southern Mississippi last weekend didn't solve all of the issues plaguing the Ragin' Cajuns this season.

But it was a timely, welcomed relief from losing six of eight games — and some in scary fashion.

Our pitching and defense is good enough that if we can hit even just as good as the 6-9 ranked hitting teams in the conference, we could very well find ourselves in a Regional.

But right now, our offense, especially from a putting a meaningful bat on the ball standpoint, is dead last by ALOT in most major categories.
