Been saying that a while now and some people don’t want to admit it. We are the latech wbb program of softball. Some people think it’s the coach and to be fair it is to some degree. But it’s all about money and we ain’t got it.

You’re obviously more connected to the softball program than I am but just because she says she has some supporters and money doesn’t mean she has near enough. And if you go back and read my previous post I did say that some of it has to do with coaching. I’ve said it before we have thousands and the big girls play with millions. So until she can raise a legitimate amount of NIL dollars to cover up her coaching blunders you will see the same thing year after year. I also just watched her postgame interview and all I can say is yikes….

Here's why the Cajuns are losing. The ump behind the plate is Johnny Paz. He has been behind the plate for many Cajun games over the years. He has a very tight strike zone. Therefore, pitchers must throw the ball over the plate. Aly knows this and Torina knows this.

When Cajun pitchers throw a 60 mph pitch over the plate, it is easily hittable. When they nibble at the plate, they walk a batter. So far, in three innings they have walked six and hit one. No strike outs.

When LSU's pitcher throws the ball over the plate at 68 mph, the Cajuns cannot hit it.
LSU's pitcher has not walked a batter. The Cajuns have not hit a ball out of the infield.

So, at the end of three LSU is leading 6-0 and the Cajuns are hitless.

Like I have said, sometimes it's all about pitching.

Johnny Paz may be the worst umpire we've had all season. He was even smug between innings about how bad he is. It's obviously not why the game was lost, but curious as to why he was assigned this game behind the plate.

The start of a week-long, four-game homestand for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball team was spoiled by No. 17 LSU which used a five-run second inning to break up a scoreless game and went on to claim an 8-0 win in five innings on Tuesday, April 14 at Lamson Park.
