Nobody should want to play them in the postseason, in their house, if theyre on a heater like that

    Thinking otherwise is delusional
I would be very surprised if LSU ends up hosting a regional. Right now they are concerned about making the tournament. Their RPI is 74. They have very bad losses. They would need to go on a spectacular run for the remainder of the season to get their RPI into the teens even with their SEC schedule boosting their RPI.

Assuming they can string together a few series wins, I think we'll see our best example yet of the "committee" valuing a name/history over current season performance

If we could just hit like middle of the road SBC while keeping up the pitching and defense, we could be dangerous in the conference tournament and a tough out in a Regional. But even that would take significant improvement. I’m not sure I have confidence in that switch being flipped. Not sure said switch even exists.

I don’t think it’s a switch that can be flipped. I think it’s hitting talent that is deficient.

My point still is: this is a year when they probably wont host.. which is always a golden opportunity for us -- especially with the way we started

    Doesn't matter much now

We haven’t been to a baton rouge regional since 2013 and before that I think it was 02. My years may be off but we’ve been to college station 3 times since then. Texas, houston and Miami I believe. And then we hosted twice. Now we did get matched up with them in the supers but we miss going there more times than not.

I guess I phrased it wrong but I was talking more about hosting than a "where do we get sent" situation

With Alex Box out the picture it gave us some ammo to overcome the "too many close together" argument for the committee

I think what we missed on this year is actually being in the conversation to host them had we continued on the early season success and they made a little bit of a run to end the year. I think it’s more applicable in softball because we always go there or they come here. As much as I would enjoy ending their season in either sport I would rather not have to host them or go there ever
