    THIS!

Our pitching is manageable and even very good at times. Our defense is outstanding. Our weakness is talent at the plate. A hitting coach can’t fix that. Only recruiting will.

Why would you want to avoid Baton Rouge in a regional?

Part of it is the same reason some complained about going to the New Orleans Bowl.

    Variety request.

Another reason expressed was shortage of tickets available.

Not every regional sells out like LSU.

    Personally: postseason any postseason

like it or not, the team across the basin always seems to turn in on in postseason...

    Thus far our conference rankings:

2nd in Fielding %, behind only Southern Miss
Tied for 3rd in most E’s committed
    Tied for 3rd in ERA
    3rd in hits given up

    However…

    Last in batting average
    Last in runs
    Last in hits
    Tied for last in HRs
    Last in RBIs, by ALOT
    Last in total bases
    Last in slugging %
    Last in on base %

At this point if they do well enough to host a regional that means they are firing on all cylinders by tournament time..

Counting on them to have 3 errors and a half dozen wild pitches is pretty foolish

Have you watched them other than the game against the Cajuns? They aren’t very good and the things you mentioned are things they do quite a bit.

My original point was that we could avoid an LSU regional.. If they were to be a host, it would mean that they've corrected those issues and managed to drag their RPI from the 30-40s to the teens

Nobody should want to play them in the postseason, in their house, if theyre on a heater like that

    Thinking otherwise is delusional

Would not bet on State making the tournament. Schedule is soft down the stretch, but they have some horrific losses. Bethune Cookman for one. At home.
