I actually think this is the beauty of the NFL. Someone like Dalen Cambre can work hard and earn a spot on a roster while other big name players may get cut. NFL players come from all sorts of schools, and that's cool.

My point is that if you're just looking the odds, it is more likely that a player from a big time school will succeed rather than a player from a smaller school. So I don't blame NFL teams for trusting big schools more than small schools.

I certainly agree that is not wise to grab a player just because of where he played.

My contention is some players are shielded by excellence and some excel on their own.

I would spend more time looking for unsheilded excellence.

Unbelievable quality is overlooked everyday. Sure, high odds of Saints going with Ohio State every draft but look what they found up at Hofstra, Marques Colston. I see scouting becoming much more accurate through the unbelievable technology we have today. But then you gotta deal with a situation just like Ahmad Hardy, and him immediately looking for a greener pasture. One season and done.

We have to come up with something game-changing.
