I agree with sitting Smith. The issue is who replaces her in the batting order. I personally would play Watts in left field, Williams in center, Knox in RF and DP Norwood; leaving Liscano at 3rd, Vasquez at SS, Hart at 2nd and Otto at 1st, with Marceaux catching.

I like this lineup. Soto was never a big producer in travel ball which is a pretty good indicator of how you will do vs. college pitching. Sure, she has had occasional success against certain pitching but her hit to out ratio leans more towards the out side of things.

At some point you have to run someone else out and give them an opportunity. They have tried over and over to get out of the slump and she just hasn't came around.
