My post suggests reality and facts. I have no dog in the fight, just a lot of passion. As for female coaches, my favorite softball coach is a female. I just think this team needs a male voice.

Did you ride the short bus? No where in any one of my post did I question the support of the ppl here. Actually if you can read I stated they all want a successful program. What i did question was how often it was negative yet not a peep when they won.

UL Softball has definitely been the most successful UL sport, but it was by no means an elite national program. It was merely the sport that UL fans had the most confidence in.

The softball measuring stick is new.

Elite is much different than other sports.

So you think Gonzaga basketball is elite but UL softball was not? Interesting

I would love to conduct a public poll as to which program is/was more of a staple--Gonzaga in NCAA basketball or UL in NCAA softball.

Two things can be true you know. They were/are both a national staple in their respective sports.

But brand new teams werent created to specifically combat the potential eliteness of gonzaga basketball in an attempt to push teams like them out of the sport completely
