Time for a change?

Back on the subject of time for a change in Softball.

There are 23 non P4 teams in the top 25 and ties in D1 for usage of the sac bunt. Only 2 of those are in the top 50 in RPI; Grand Canyon [28] and S. Florida [36]. GCU has a team ERA of 1.82 and is 44th in fielding percentage., USF is at 3.06, but they are 7th nationally in fielding percentage. Small ball will not win for non-P4's without great pitching and good defense or good pitching and great defense.

This is why she seems to not be HC material. She is most likely good with tactical things, but strategically, WTF does this bunting crap achieve long term? Seems she is losing the confidence of the team with the flip-flopping on direction.

If coaching limits back then were 3 while she was at bama. And most teams had an HC, a pitching coach and a hitting coach, how did bama have an HC, a pitching coach, a hitting coach AND a first base coach?

That, my friend holds true with or without small ball!! Those things are an important recipe in all victories. LOL

They didn't have a hitting coach.

No great pitching and defense. Hitting was for the most part always light.

Alabama players had to have their own private hitting coach.
