Let’s see if AH made any adjustments to the abysmal showing last weekend. Since she has no true ace pitcher, maybe she should pitch by committee. Hover 1 inning , Nobles 1 inning, Delbrey 1 inning, Tipton 1 inning, rinse and repeat. Why isn’t Mackles in the rotation? Is Emily going to still be in the DH spot( 1-16 not a good stat). Can AH get them focused for this series. Who will step up as a team leader?

Our pitching is what it is. I actually think pitcher juggling has not been that bad.

The changes that really need to be made are better positioning of defensive players and getting away from small ball when the run differential is more than 1 run. It would also help to never use the sac bunt when Hart, Otto, Knox, Norwood or Vasquez is at the plate, regardless of the situation..

If you went with that rotation only the starter could pitch again unless one of the other pitchers stayed in the game at another position. I'm not sure if Mackles will pitch the rest of the season. I am thinking Smith stays as the DP.

I agree, but either she has no clue or she is just too darn stubborn to change. Either way, not good for Ragin Cajun softball. Side note on Smith missing USM series due to concussion protocol. She got a concussion of all things during bunting practice!

You beat me to the punch. You are correct about the starting pitcher being the only one able to return unless they stayed in the game at another position. Is the reason you think that Mackles will not pitch again this season JMV due to ineffectiveness or possible injury or coach thinks she can't contribute during conference play?

I think with the urgency and pressure now to win every series and/or game is a situation they don't want to put her in. If a game gets out of hand either way I could see her maybe getting some work.

Troy, hits a two-run homer in the first inning to take a 2-0 lead. Marceaux leads off the first inning with a hit. She eventually gets to third base. Then, a bunt is put down. Marceaux gets in a rundown and gets thrown out. Cajuns end up not scoring. Ugh!
