Can anyone explain what has happened to Emily Smith? I really expected her to have a fantastic sophomore year.

She needs to sit. We have NO coaches. Allison is NOT a head coach. Lacy is useless. Pitching coach calls a game like Justin Robicheaux used to call. Hitting coach has a 20 inch binder with stats, girls still can't hit. In my opinion Allison has her favorites ( Emily is one ). Zero, Zilch , Nada pitching. Bunting at the dumbest times. The girls don't have any respect for the people collecting a check for supposedly coaching. Look for a mad exodus after the season. Keep it up Dr Maggard and you won't be able to give tickets away. It's sad to see this once feared program fall this fast. Allison may be a nice person, but she is NOT HEAD COACH material. UL should stop begging for money from everyone and take care of business. Baseball and Softball are the programs that bring national recognition to the school. Fix the problem!!!!!!!! ( what's Allison's deal with Emily? Inquiring minds want to know) She's still in the lineup but can't hit the ball out of the infield ( another Taylor Roman )............. You want fan support, fix the problem... it'll be a big embarrassment if we don't get into the SB tournament as the host school.
PS...I'm so glad y'all are saving money this year by not having ice for drinks at the concession stand...what a savings 🙄

The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball team kept battling all afternoon and chipped away at an early deficit, but a big first inning by ULM proved to be the difference as the Warhawks held on for a 7–5 win on Sunday, March 29 at the ULM Softball Complex to complete a sweep of the three-game SBC series.

Agree....and a few others as well. I believe Emily is now wearing glasses, did she wear glasses or contacts last year? Wouldn't know if that has something to do or not with her evaporation.

Emily is having the worst soph slump that I have seen. It happens to many people. She had a good 2 strike approach when she got here. Now she has the fake bunt crap that forces her to rush to the plate with 2 strikes. That is not good.

So why is she still in the starting lineup?

Cajuns lose 7-5 and the sweep is complete. Extremely disappointing weekend for the Cajun softball team. It seems we are regressing at this point instead of improving.

UL softball is dead..

Bigger schools decided to spend money and pay attention to softball and we went from top 10-20 team to a fringe top 50 program

Plus the entire fanbase for UL softball is considerably older so the money is about to be completely gone
