I truly love that Ragin Pagin's "P4 conferences are evil" crowd has now reduced itself to "the SEC is evil." They have no problem with the B10's NIL budget (or its effect on smaller conferences). They hardly even care about UL's ability to progress and grow. They just want the SEC to suffer, even at the small conferences' expense.

Similarly but not quite the same, I am fascinated (more than truly love) how when one person expresses a singular opinion it instantly becomes "crowd"

The College Crown tournament pretty much locks out any non P5. 2 at large, you know even with a minute 300k prize, no way they’ll give that to an “outsider.”

That's fair. I shouldn't overgeneralize. But I doubt you actually think that only one person on RP has hated on the SEC, specifically, while ignoring that other big conferences are exactly like the SEC.

"Exactly the same".... University of Michigan is number 3 in 2026 US news and world reports top National Public school academic rankings, behind 2 former pac 12 schools, now in acc and big 10 respectively. 4 and 5 are ACC as well. And Illinois is 12th.

Also 3rd in public national law school, 9th overall.
And 4th in public grad school, 13th overall.
Looks.like michigan can walk and chew gum at same time

No doubt, a lot of angst comes out when committees award post season slots to teams that have a terrible SEC record and slightly above average OOC records.

I think any hatred towards the SEC is misplaced and should be directed instead towards the various selection committee s.

oppose that opinion and the “crowd” will more often than not show up - in this instance the probability is 100% . . .

What if those SEC teams are usually better? Smaller schools didn't fare very well against Auburn in the NIT.
